THE TARA AWARDS: MOTION DESIGN LEAD

The Tara Awards is the annual Creative School award show celebrating the best student projects of the year. As the Motion Design Lead for, I was tasked with creating a variety of elements including the intro sequence, in between sequences, countdown, end credits, RTA from home promo and a motion design to display during intermission. Featured on YouTube live in 2021 due to COVID-19, the team needed motion design work throughout the live event to increase the flow of the show. Feedback on my work was unanimously positive and I was particularly proud to have contributed to our first such virtual award show.

My past experience working with Geneva was nothing short of excellent. Like many live productions this past year, RTA's 43rd annual TARA awards had to shift from an in-person event to an online broadcast. This meant there was a heavy reliance on pre-made material. As our motion graphics artist, Geneva understood my vision for the TARAs visual aesthetic almost instantly. She exceeded the whole team's expectations, myself included after witnessing her deliverables. Her skills showcase that she has a natural instinct of how to communicate an idea into a visually pleasing product.
