LINDA & LAWRENCE
For this motion design project, the client asked me to create a 60’s inspired intro sequence for the pilot episode of a 4th year practicum project. I was told to take inspiration from both Bewitched and the WandaVision, episode 2 introduction sequences. Considering the 60’s has a very distinct style, I began by researching what 60’s animations looked like as well as design trends including patterns, furniture, and architecture.By collecting images of rooms and objects from the 60’s for reference purposes, I was able to create my own unique style while taking direction and matching the desired colour palette and aesthetic.
“Working with Geneva Hines on my practicum, “Moments Like These” was an amazing experience. Geneva created a motion graphic to serve as the opening to a 1960’s style sitcom within the film named “Linda and Lawrence.” She created a beautiful and immersive animation that perfectly encapsulated the era we were trying to recreate. Each version was delivered on time with several different options to choose from. Feedback was applied quickly and effectively. Overall, I am very proud to feature the final product in “Moments Like These.” I would absolutely work with Geneva again.
