WAKE UP: STUDENT PERSPECTIVES ON COVID -19
At the beginning of the pandemic, I co-produced the “ WAKE UP- Student Perspectives on COVID-19-documentary” with my friend, Janae Allen. We had watched as many individuals in our age group didn't care to believe in COVID-19-, or follow the advised health and safety protocols. To combat this, we decided to create a documentary focused on student perspectives on the pandemic. where we engaged with 34 students from 12 different countries across the globe. We sought to change the narrative and spark conversations about the impact that the pandemic has had on students in regard to their education, employment status, mental health, and unexpected realities. This was my first large-scale project where I used my motion design skills heavily, helping to further the documentary's narrative while visualizing statics and graphs from multiple new sources. I also created lower thirds and motion design intros for each segment within the film. This was one of my first big steps into the motion design world, where I got to practice my design work and push myself to learn necessary knowledge to accomplish certain visuals I wanted to create.
